Battleplan and Missions
Rodney and Chris’ Thoughts
At Run Rocket Run we call setting a business plan, a Battleplan, and goals, they’re Missions. Battleplans and Missions are something we each set out to plan and achieve both personally and professionally.
We’re almost a month into 2026 and if you don’t have a Battleplan or clearly defined Missions for the year to set you up for success, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage and your competitors will leave you behind.
Don’t waste any more time on admin, in the weeds, or just getting by – set yourself a target that will assist you grow and make a difference to yourself or your business, or both and get after it.
The Battleplan must be a simple, have clearly defined objectives you want to achieve. Don’t over complicate it, don’t over think it, set yourself a task and then note what needs to be done to achieve it.
Once the plan is in place, be disciplined enough to give it your best to see it through. No one will do it for you. You’ll be hit with adversity, won’t feel up to it, or conditions will change to hinder you from succeeding. This is normal and you’ll need to persist through it. Stay focussed, stay the course and you’ll be much better for it.
Be accountable to others. Share what you want to achieve and surround yourself with the best team that will lift you and get you through the tough times.
Quotes to Remember
“Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.” — Thomas Edison, American Inventor and Businessman.
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." — Abraham Lincoln.
