2023 Challenges.
Follow Rodney ‘Rocket’ Cottam as he embarks on his second trail run challenge: 500km in 106 hours, averaging 100km per day, from Mon 3 - Fri 7 Jul 23.
This gruelling expedition will start in Mid-North Coast, NSW, along the eastern coast of Australia, offering stunning ocean views for much of the journey. The terrain will be varied, winding through lush rainforests, small towns and farmland as he descends into the bustling suburbs and skyscraper-filled horizon of Sydney, NSW arriving at his finish line - Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park.
This year we will have a support team of four and a fleet consisting of the Defender and a campervan as support vehicles. We will also be running at night to meet the challenges’ requirements, meaning sleep deprivation must be managed closely. Thankfully the addition of the campervan will mean ‘Rocket’, and the crew can sleep as and when needed. Powered by Resilience, Rodney is raising money for Invictus Australia.

2022 Challenge
Rodney ‘Rocket’ Cottam’s first ambitious challenge occurred on Monday, 7 November 2022, when he completed a 350km trail run in 5 days.
This gruelling expedition started in the Southern Highlands, going through several national parks and finishing at Mount Kosciuszko, Australia's highest peak. With a support team of two, stopping only at night-time in campsites or small towns along the trail, Rodney raised over $41,000 for Invictus Australia on an epic journey powered by Resilience.
“Resilience is a mindset - a skill you can develop.”
