Relationships
Rodney and Chris’ Thoughts
Relationships. Relationships can be one of the greatest performance enhancers you have. Or alternatively, they can be one of the biggest restrictions holding you back.
Relationships aren’t always easy, they take work and are often earned through building trust, being reliable and backing up your words through action.
The people around you shape your standards, your discipline, and your self-belief in what’s possible.
Strong relationships sharpen you whereas weak relationships can drain you and can distract you, just enough to make you miss your potential.
Who celebrates your wins without jealousy? Who holds you accountable when you drift off course?
Who reminds you of your Mission when you forget it yourself?
And importantly — who do you show up for?
Relationships aren’t just about what you get, they’re about what you give: honesty, effort, consistency, care and integrity. What you give without expecting anything in return.
These are the same qualities that help build growth and development as well as deep, long-lasting connections.
Invest in the people who lift you.
When others are transactional, dare to be different and be relational. Be the difference.
When your relationships are aligned with your purpose and your mission, you’ll move forward.
Quotes to Remember
“One of the best ways to educate our hearts is to look at our interaction with other people, because our relationships with others are fundamentally a reflection of our relationship with ourselves.” – Stephen Covey, American educator, and author.
“Associate with those who will make a better person of you." – Seneca, Philosopher.
What’s Happened?
The Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB event was on over the past weekend. Rodney competed in the 100miler and “The Boss” Amanda took on the 50km. It wasn’t a good result for Rodney, he had to pull out due to injury at 77km. There’s a lot to process and will regroup. Details will be in a post on Instagram and LinkedIn. Amanda, however had a great result in the 50km, finishing 17th female in a time of 5hrs 56min.
Check out our posts of both Instagram and LinkedIn with updates.
