Growth
Rodney and Chris’ Thoughts
Growth. How do you grow and improve? Is it through experience, reading something insightful, learning something new or challenging yourself?
It’s natural for people to change over periods of time, whether it’s physically, emotionally, or both.
Change of circumstance, through a relationship, having kids, starting a new role, or by doing something out of your comfort zone can lead to change and growth.
If you’re feeling stale, be open to change. Set yourself a goal or target and work hard to achieve it, then reflect on the process and evaluate the difference from when you started.
As we grow over time, we become comfortable, up to a certain point. At a certain point, we need to make a decision, do I leave my comfortable space, to expose myself to the world, to be vulnerable, to be able to grow further. Or do I stay in my comfort zone.
Most people resist growth, not because they’re lazy but because they’re afraid. Afraid of the unknown.
Don’t be afraid. Take the leap. Strive to grow.
Quotes to Remember
“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning.” – Benjamin Franklin.
"Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still." – Chinese Proverb
What’s Upcoming?

This is arguably one of the toughest single-track, technical 100mile races in the world. It’s part of the World Trail Majors and is also a qualifying race for Hardrock 100 mile race in Colorado, USA. He’ll be going out to set a course record for an adaptive athlete. It will be a long day(s), aiming for around 30hrs.
